Hi there. I am trying to assistance my daughter get some of her drawings off her DSi and onto the SD carte, We are using a purchased copy of Fine art Academy (not downloaded).

I have looked at lots of info only nevertheless cannot encounter how to save a drawing to the DSi'southward album. The only options are to save to gallery and i can't re-create from gallery to SD carte du jour.

Some forums seem to propose that the save to album facility is merely available in the downloaded vesion.

Can anybody tell me how to do this, Nosotros want to utilise some of her drawings to make thank you lot cards for Christmas!!
Thank you..

I'g pretty sure you can copy from DSi album to SD card. Merely... let someone else tell you lot that, I oasis't messed with it in a while.

I have no experience with the retail game so I don't really know. If I had to take a wild guess I would say that pictures probabky can't exist saved to the DSi anthology. That'south not to say it actually can't, I'm just guessing it can't. Peradventure you would consider buying ane of the 8 dollar download versions to gain the functionality?

Oh the retail version, sorry didn't see that. I accept the Ware versions, so I was talking most those.

Yes, you can copy from DSi Album to SD Carte du jour - that is a function of the camera utility. My question is how to get an Art Academy image to the DSi's album.

You lot're all making me sound dumb now

Sorry, but you cannot export the pictures from Art Academy retail, even if you're on a DSi. Lamentable D: Just y'all could, similar bboy said, purchase a DSiWare version ($eight each). With 1 of those, you tin export the pictures to the DSi Album, but you won't take the pictures made on the retail cartridge.

You can't salvage images to the DSi Anthology/SD card unless y'all accept the download version I'thousand afraid.

That is the benefit of having the DSiWare copies over the purchased re-create of Fine art Academy is y'all tin export your work to an SD card. Which is a shame y'all can't with the purchased version. I'd get it too if you could because I heard information technology has extra tutorials that I would like to try.

Is your girl enjoying information technology? Information technology'southward nonetheless my favourite passtime on my DSi.

Cheers, everybody, for your advice. Looks similar a DSiWare version is needed then. Don't understand why in that location is a divergence in functionality though.....

Thanks Victroia, she has played with nothing else since Christmas.

@taylortwocities: the game you've purchased at retail is for the DS, with no 'DSi-enhanced' features. Since the DS proper has no SD card slot and no camera, in that location was probably no code anywhere for either SD menu functionality or transfer of images to the DSi Camera in the DS-based devkit.

Well the pack says DS and DSi (and Twoscore) and the Art Academy software includes camera facilities so information technology is reasonable to expect a proper, not half-baked, version of the software.

Ahh well, there goes 800 points into Nintendo's pocket.....

ah, the description i read hadn't mentioned the DSi Camera functionality at all, my mistake. in that case, there's a skilful gamble they chose to not permit exporting to DSi Anthology/SD from the retail version as an anti-piracy precaution. the more direct-access functionality they allow, the more potential holes and bugs in that location are to exploit.

I withal can't understand why nintendo skipped the option to upload fine art to the DSi album on the reail version, being that, for me, one of the best things about the original game.

It is too bad, isn't it? I really wanted to get the disc version likewise, but if you tin't export the photos there'due south not much point. I believe you tin merely save lxxx pictures on the disc version anyway.

@Taylortwocities ... if yous go for i version of the DSiWare you might as well get both. That mode y'all can be working on two pictures, have a relieve file on both.
